Famous for his trademark big laugh and his even bigger design visions; designer Robin De Groot brings passion, creativity and flawless taste to all his creations. Robin is the principal designer for his own award winning design firm, Robin De Groot Design, the head designer and buyer for several major retailers including Fresh Living, a retail consultant widely sought across North America as well as an award winning product designer, including Milk Glow Soap.

Robin's interior design creations have been seen in magazines worldwide and he himself writes for numerous home and garden magazines, as well as giving design lectures at Home Show's across Canada and the United States. Before becoming everyone’s favourite big personality on Restaurant Makeover, Robin was the design expert for CH Morning Live and designed homes for celebrities in Canada and the United States. Robin has as well been a featured designer for the Designer Showhouse 2004.

From ultra modern sexy condos to sumptuous historic estates, Robin has designed it all, but his true passion in design is the restoration of heritage homes and their properties. One of Robin's design mantras comes from his aunt, internationally acclaimed artist Jean McCormack; "that what isn't in the picture is as important as what is". This advice made Robin acutely aware of the implications of his selections and the power of a well edited and deeply thought room.
